Broken links and forms
Links that lead nowhere, buttons that do nothing, and forms a visitor cannot get through. Each one is pinned to the page and the element where it happens.
Sightline for VCs, accelerators and venture studios
Before a raise, before demo day, and after each release, Sightline reads each company's public pages and reports broken links and forms, unclear or contradictory claims, pages that fail on a phone, and gaps in basic web security hygiene. The same method for every company, every finding with its evidence.
What Sightline checks
Every finding carries the exact text, link or response it came from, so nobody has to take it on faith, and it lands on a to-do list for the page it belongs to.
Links that lead nowhere, buttons that do nothing, and forms a visitor cannot get through. Each one is pinned to the page and the element where it happens.
A price on one page and a different one on another, a feature promised in the hero and missing further down, copy a first-time visitor cannot follow.
Layouts that scroll sideways, controls too small to tap, content that disappears on a narrow screen.
Response headers, cookie flags and certificate setup, read from what the site already returns to any visitor.
When to run it
Investors click through the site before the first call. A broken sign-up form or a claim that contradicts the deck is better found by the team first.
The week a cohort presents is the week its sites get read by the most people. Run the check early enough to fix what it finds.
New pages break old links. Run it again after a company ships, or turn on the weekly re-scan for its domain.
How it works
Agree the list of companies
Write to us with the portfolio or cohort you want covered, and how each report should reach its team.
Each company verifies its domain
One DNS record per domain, added by the company itself. That record is its agreement to the check, and nothing runs on a company that has not added it.
The same check runs on every site
Every company gets the same method and the same report structure, with the evidence behind each finding and a to-do list for each page.
Repeat after each release
Run it again when a company ships, so the next report shows what is still open.
What it never does
Plans
Portfolio coverage is a monthly subscription for each company domain. Accounts are by invitation for now, so for a whole portfolio or cohort, write to us first. See the plans and what each includes →
